RDIF: Mubadala may join $300 mln investment in NefteTransService

MOSCOW, Oct 15 (PRIME) -- Mubadala, the sovereign fund of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), may join a U.S. $300 million investment in Russian railway operator NefteTransService, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said in a statement on Tuesday.

“The RDIF and Mubadala are considering joint investment in NefteTransService, one of Russia’s largest operators of railway rolling stock. The agreement is part of a consortium led by the RDIF that plans to invest $300 million in expansion of the rolling stock of the company and at strengthening its competitive edge in railway logistics,” the fund said.

RDIF said in June that it will invest U.S. $300 million in NefteTransService jointly with Middle Eastern and Asian funds. On Monday, the fund said that Saudi Arabian sovereign fund Public Investment Fund (PIF) has joined the consortium.
